Laser Hair Removal Contraindications

 

Important: We cannot perform your service if you have not shaved prior to you visit. We treat this as a last minute cancellation which may result in being charged for the full cost of treatment per our cancellation policy

• Oral or topical skin sensitizing medication such as isotretinoin(Accutane or similar, prescription retinols etc.)
• Medication that increases sensitivity to light
• Medication that changes skin metabolism
• Cancer, Chemotherapy, Radiation, Immunotherapy (within the past 6 months)
• Skin Cancer or precancerous lesions in the treatment area
• Impaired skin integrity
• Skin lesions or bruising in the treatment area
• Epilepsy
• Recent sun exposure, tan or sunburn (must wait at least 2 months)
• Anticoagulant therapy or blood thinning medication
• Active local or systemic infections
• On antibiotics or being treated for any other illness
• Autoimmune diseases with written approval

Combining both Alexandrite and Nd:YAG laser systems allows the ability to customize each treatment for all skin tones resulting in safer, more effective results in potentially fewer sessions. This device uses cryo-oxygen to cool the skin during treatment for a more comfortable experience.

The face, underarms and bikini should be treated every 4-6 weeks, while all other areas should be treated every 6-8 weeks for at least 6 sessions. Frequency of maintenance will vary by hair type. Receive a complementary touch up on your 8th session!

Please shave areas to be treated the night before your appointment and be sure to avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks before and after treatment. Discontinue use of actives or prescription topicals at least 3-5 days prior to treatment.
